Wordless Wednesday - Hallway Display

Happy Hump Day Friends!

If you most know, I have exactly 1 week left with my kiddos! WOWZA!

I'm back today with Miss DeCarbo over at Sugar and Spice for Wordless Wednesday!

I keep seeing such adorable summer bulletin board displays on Pinterest! I even have an entire board dedicated to bulletin boards! However, I don't have a bulletin board outside my classroom. Plus, we have to place student work with commentary in the hallways.

Anyway, this is what my section of the hall looks like right outside my classroom door. (Don't even get me started on the fact that the small strips of cork board are even! UGH).

I'd love to know if you are required to put certain things in the hallway, or if you're allowed to hang/decorate as you please.

  1. We don't have a hallway. Most schools in New Zealand are built with single cell classrooms. We are heading the way of modern open plan learning environments, but at this stage just our rooms have bulletin boards. I am allowed to display whatever I want! I love it. No requirements at all.

  2. Most teachers here have a bulletin board outside the door in the hall - my classroom does not. :/ The walls don't take tape very well, but there is a strip of wood running down the wall at shoulder level that I use. Whatever works, right? I love your displays!

  3. We have covered bulletin boards which are kind of a pain. I usually do it in September and keep it up for the year. I just put up whatever I want in the hallway underneath.

  4. I am in a cottage so I am not connected to the main school and can't display work outside of my room. However, my boss is awesome and she gave me a space in front of the office. It is not a bulletin board, but it is a space for me to display work so I will take it!
