Introducing…The Primary Peach {and end of the year freebies!}

So here in Georgia most of us are starting to count down the days until the end of the school year, and let’s be honest…it’s a hectic time! I mean there’s grade changes, school changes, classroom changes, EOY assessments, DRAs, report cards, RtI meetings, Annual IEP meetings…the list literally goes on and on. Plus, if you’re anything like me you’re thinking of what things you’d like to do differently for next year. Trying to “keep it together” is pretty much impossible…which is why I created a couple to-do lists to make my life {and hopefully yours} a little bit easier!

I keep these life-savers in my planner – and anything and everything I think of for post-planning (teacher workdays) and getting ready for next year goes somewhere on one of these lists. Use one…use them all 🙂 I even start writing down reminders for pre-planning!

My favorite? Oh, I’m so glad you asked…it’s actually this baby pictured below. A yearly plan for the NEXT school year. Why? Another great question! Namely because I spend a considerable amount of time over the summer planning for the new school year, and I start with the big picture, and then keep narrowing down in smaller and more detailed segments. I do this now, because a) I’m thinking about it, b) I’ll be WAAAAYY too busy to try to do it right before school starts.

I posted on Instagram that something big was coming soon, and today’s the day it’s finally here! I’m so so excited to announce {and be part of} a brand new collaborative blog with about 30 other elementary school bloggers from all over Georgia that will be full of ideas and tips and tricks! Introducing…
Today, we’ve got a sweet treat just for you! We’re doing a hop through all of our blogs, and they each include an End of the Year Freebie {I’m down to 18 days…but who’s counting?}. Let’s get to know each other a bit first…
I’m Theresa, a 20-something (I won’t be able to say that for much longer, so I’m going to use it while I can!) wife to Andrew, dog-mom, teacher, bloggerpinnerinstagrammer (that’s totally a word, right?),  and coffee lover! I might also have a small obsession with all things office/school supplies and organization, and can’t walk through a dollar section or clearance section without a good look.
Originally from Florida, Andrew and I moved to Georgia almost 3 years ago, and absolutely love it! I mean hello Fall, Spring, and Winter! I was beginning to think those were just made-up seasons…right Florida friends? We have 3 sweet pups Tootsie, Dunkin, and Daisy who pretty much run the show.

I’ve taught 2nd and 4th grades in a variety of settings: Title I, inclusion, ESOL, and non-Title I suburbia. I currently teacher 2nd grade inclusion in a suburb of Atlanta. I absolutely love 2nd grade! I have my Master of Education in Teaching and Learning, and am passionate about sharing classroom management ideas (because without it – you won’t get far)!
Celebrate the launch of our collaborative blog with us and enter to win a sweet prize!!!
